Russia is not for the amateur hunter but for one looking for an extreme destination, extreme weather, and of course, an extreme hunt of a lifetime! All tours begin and end at the airport of Magadan. Clients are met on their arrival and taken directly to the base camp by helicopter, or in the event of non-flying weather, moved to a Magadan hotel.
Brown bear hunts take place in the spring (first half of May). The method of transportation is snowmobile. Temperatures range from -10C to +5C (10F to 40F). During this time of the year, the bears have just come out of hibernation and are roaming the mountains in search of food. Because hunting is relatively new to this area, the population of bears is high and trophy quality is second to none. Average bears range from 8' to 10'plus. A second bear is available.
The large hunting territory of approximately 2,500,000 acres has five base camps which are located in remote mountainous areas, abundant in wildlife and trophy game.
To provide clients’ safety and comfort, the camps are well-equipped and have all the essential means of communication: satellite phones, radio transmitters, walkie-talkies and signaling devices.
